अर्थागमो नित्यमरोगिता... -विदुर नीति
प्रिया च भार्या प्रियवादिनी च |
वश्यस्य पुत्रो Sर्थकरी च विद्या
षड् जीवलोकस्य सुखानि राजन् ||
-विदुर नीति
भावार्थ - हे राजन् ! इस पृथ्वी में छः प्रकार के सुख कहे
गये हैं :- (१) नियमित रूप से धन की प्राप्ति (२) निरोग
शरीर (३) प्रेम करने वाली पत्नी (४) मृदुभाषी पत्नी (५)
आज्ञाकारी पुत्र तथा (६ ) ऐसी विद्या में निपुणता जो धन
संपत्ति प्राप्त करने में सहायक हो |
English translation of Sanskrit Quote:
Artha+ aagamo. Artha =wealth. Aagamo = arrival.
Nityam +arogitaa. Nityam = always. Arogitaa =
healthiness. Priyaa =beloved. Bhaaryaa = wife.
Priyavaadinee = speaking kindly. Cha = and.
Vashyasya = obedient. Putro + arthakaree, Put
the Son. Arthakaree = profitable. Vidyaa =
Knowledge. Shad = six. Jeevalokasya = the Earrh's
Sukhaani = happiness . Raajan - O king.
O King ! There are six means of enjoying a happy
lifestyle in this World , namely (i) regular source of income,
(ii) always having good health (iii) a loving wife (iv) a soft
speaking wife (v) an obedient son, and (vi) and knowledge
or expertise in a profession which yields regular income.
Transliteration:
Arthaagamo nityamarogitaa cha.
Priyaa Cha Bhaaryaa Priyavaadinee cha.
Vashyasya putrorthakaree cha visyaa.
Shad jeevalokasya sukhaani raajan.
